My energy audit: What fuels me and what drains me

Lately, I’ve been paying closer attention to what’s feeding my soul and what’s quietly depleting it. I sat down and made an Energy Audit. A simple but powerful exercise where I split my daily habits and experiences into two columns. Energy Boosters and Energy Drainers.

It’s wild how eye-opening it can be to actually see it all written out.

So here’s mine. Raw. Honest. Personal.

What Fills My Cup:

These are the things that ground me. Uplift me. Make me feel whole.

. Praying. Tithing. Church

. Praying together and keeping God at the center of our marriage

. Quality time with my husband

. Financial management (when it’s organized)

. Alone time. Facials

. Bubble baths. Self-care. Audibles. Stretching

. Yoga. Mani-pedis. Etc

. Time with family

. Content creation

. Girl time

. Learning and growing

. Writing blogs

. Dancing and singing

. Painting

What Drains Me

These are the things that steal my energy. Slowly or suddenly.

. Sugar

. Anxiety

. Depression

. Physical pain and fatigue

. Loneliness or lack of local support

. Unresolved relationships

. Marriage and family issues

. No exercise

. Overthinking and overanalyzing

. Splitting episodes

. Conflict or miscommunication

. Doom scrolling

. Household mess and stress

. Comparison and self-doubt

. Money issues

. Fears

. Insomnia

Reflections:

Looking at both sides of the page, I realized how much control I do have over the way I feel. Especially when I lean into the things that pour life back into me. Some of the energy drainers are out of my hands. Yes. But many are tied to habits or mindsets I can shift. With grace. With intention.

This audit isn’t just a list. It’s a reminder.

I get to choose what I return to.

I can create space for what heals me.

I can build a life filled with more of what breathes light into my days.
