Love letters written to myself: November 2nd 2022💗

There’s something sacred about writing directly to the parts of yourself that often go unheard. . .your mind, your body, and your heart. That day, I sat down with a pen and paper, no filters, and let the truth spill out. What came forward were three love letters. Three truths. Three promises.
And now, I’m sharing them here. . .unfiltered.
---
To my mind:
“You are strong.”
I don’t say it enough. But I need to.
What I pour into you, you give back.
So I’m trying to speak life into you. . .daily affirmations, truth, scripture, prayer.
I pray for peace of mind every day.
I’ll do my best to remember that you’re not my enemy. You’re my engine.
And you deserve kindness too.
---
To my body:
Thank you.
It’s hard for me to actually say that right now.
I don’t love all of you. . .but I know I will again.
We’ve both been through a lot.
Life hit us hard.
Things happened to us that we didn’t choose. But we’re still here.
And I promise. . .I’ll get us back to where we were… maybe even better.
Just give me time.
I’m learning to stay.
---
To my heart:
Oh, heart.
You’ve really been through it, haven’t you?
The ringer… the wreckage…
And yet. . .you’re still here. Still beating.
Still holding on. Still hoping.
Thank you for not giving up.
Thank you for keeping me tender.
I pray for healing.
I love you.
So, so much.

Sometimes, healing looks like a letter to yourself.
Sometimes, it starts with simply saying:
“I see you. I’m trying.”

Scripture:
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” – 1 Peter 5:10
