Inspirational prompts: A page from my journal

There’s something sacred about pausing long enough to ask yourself: What inspires me? What re-lights my fire when life runs me dry? I recently answered a few prompts in one of my journals, and rereading them today felt like a hug from my own soul. So I’m sharing them here, unfiltered.

What places inspire you most?

The ocean.

When I’m there, suddenly I’m one with the ocean...and all of my worries seem so small.

Little Harbor. Pass-a-Grille. By myself, with God, with those who hold my heart.

That’s where I breathe again.

What drives you? What lights you up inside so much that you forget the notion of time?

I absolutely love doing my goals.

I love reading and learning more about everything.

I lose track of time when I’m wrapped up in a good book or a favorite show.

And honestly? Time with my husband, family, and friends....their presence grounds me and lifts me in ways nothing else can.

List 5 ways you re-inspire yourself when you feel depleted:

1. Shower or take a bubble bath

2. Clean or do some laundry

3. Read or listen to music

4. Eat or talk to someone (especially a loved one)

5. Watch shows, rest, spend intentional time with my husband, family, or close friends

6. Light some candles and set the mood for peace

Sometimes healing isn’t about pushing through.

Sometimes it’s about slowing down. Letting your soul breathe.

Lighting a candle. Playing a song. Sitting with someone who makes you feel seen.

Letting the quiet be enough.
